During Hari Raya aidilfitri (the biggest celebration in Malaysia),our royal punkrockers of Kuala Kangsar warm-up their tunes of music in Zai-am studio,kuala Kangsar.Nur azmi,asmawi and Ellie with a bunch of punkrock craziest heat up their night with a few songs from STONERIVER.

Some of friends said,this is the renew beginning for original punkrock flavour in present days.We have compossed a few songs.those are running towards our first demo on next year.untill today we planning for 2 demos and 1 E.P already.But still low in budget for recording.so in conclusion,we need to spend a lot of money starting right now.(pray to God may the demos and E.P becoming possible on next year..aminnnn!!)

NoFX semasa awal remaja dan belia aktif

NoFX band Punk-rock dari L.A, U.S.memulakan kareir musik sejak 1983.dengan anggota three-pieces dikepalai Fat Mike yang masa itu budak-budak lagi.umur 14 tahun begitulah ceritanya. bermula bermain di gig-gig sekitar L.A dan seterusnya bergelar big star dalam scene punk-rock dunya.Ini salah satu pengaruh saya dalam merangsang minat terhadap menubuhkan sebuah band. dan stoneriver juga begitu.dengan pakej humor,sarkastic serta teriakan oi!oi! dipentas,NoFX menjadi band yang digemari sehingga ke hari ini.sudah tentu band ini kurang mendapat perhatian generasi muda di negara kita.generasi hari ini di Malaysia lebih cenderung ke arah band punk-rock?? atau band pop-punk??? acuan MTV seperti Simple plan,Good Charlotte dan Chemical Romances.

The Bad religion,band punkrock yang masih dengan stail punkrock klasik (pantas,takbanyak solo gitar,lirik straight,protes dan politikal). band yang antara menjadi kegemaran saya sejak mula memahami musik punkrock secara dalam. tidak akan ada aksi gila-gila dipentas apabila bad religion beraksi.hanya musik pantas dengan vokalis yang menyanyi seperti seorang pemidato.menarik bukan?Bad religion agak asing di planet Malaysia.khalayak muda banyak fokus pada band muda seperti Green day,nofx,MXPX,New Found Glory,Simple Plan dan yellowcard (ada banyak lagi) Bad Religion sudah ada di muka bumi sejak 80-an.sampai sekarang masih dengan gaya punk penuh politikal,radikal,sarat mesej. band yang perlu ditrivia kerana dia bukan hanya bermain musik tetapi rights and humanity.

Carburetor Dung yang di kepalai Joe-Kidd band orang Ganu yang keluar dengan album songs for friends, E.P 99 Allure of Manure. ini lah pengaruh kuat aku menjadikan aku nak sangat buat band. Zaman sekolah menengah 1993-1997.1997 band aku, Staticplanesculpture keluar demo.budget rendah habis.guna sony dubbing cassette.cover fotostat.masa zaman poseur dulu.pakai jeans koyak,t-shirt conteng.masa tu aku,adik aku Asmawi (guitar),jat (guitar),E-ju (bass) dan Ellie (drums).Aku vokal aje fasal main gitar selalu tak ikut tempo.bedal belasah. bunyi hancur habis. tapi itu la permulaan kisah. Carburetor punya angkara la ni.Sejak itu nama besar macam The Ramones, The clash, Green day, Bad religion,REM mula meniti. kitorang cari materials indie dan punk lokal.dari A.C.A.B, subculture,the bollocks, Abnormal,skins dan entah apa-apa lagi.Sampai la ni aku suka punk-rock.lagipun musik cam ni dah diterima ramai sekarang tengoklah band green day,the offspring,simple plan,blink 182,sum 41 tu semua punk-rockers. sampai di Kl aku jadi pelukis,penulis,kartunis dan illustrator. Aktiviti jamming terhad dan sekali-sekala pegi gig.meleleh air liur tengok band kawan-kawan dah berjaya.samapai bergelar star macam Eddie dan gerhana skacinta, Miji dan Flop Poppy huh..dengki tul aku. Sampai aku forming balik band aku..panggil bandmates lama dan baru jamming semula.buat lagu,susun balik,geledah laci cari notes,lirik dan semua. akhirnya Stoneriver dibentuk dan membuat persembahan sulungnya di PWTC depan khalayak ramai. material stoneriver masih disusun dan mungkin keluar tak dalam hujung atau awal tahun depan dalam format demo ataupun EP.nanti gua mention dalam blog nih..huih aku melalut betul!!apa-apapun belilah buku aku!!novel grafik kedua..tak lama lagi keluar..tajuk (rahsia!!) dah publish aku akan mention!!chow!!

R.E.M nama besar dalam scene post-punk dunia.band dari georgia, US ini memulakan karier music mereka sejak 1978.hingga kini masih rock-on tetapi matured sikit.hanya tiga anggota sahaja.bill berry drummer asal left-out cause by brain cancer.no replacement.but their still my best favourite band. more info. www.rem.com

royal punk-rockers stoneriver

1999 the year of the existance of these royal punk-rockers, STONERIVER. formed by two brothers- azmi and asmawi mokhtar.the band started out their punk days by the poor jamming session in Kuala kangsar.with three others closed friends-Ellie,Eju and mat-jatt.at those moments they were played a lot of from their most admired bands such like bad religion,offspring,green day,carburetor dung,subculture and many more..now becoming only two members.they are azmi and asmawi.after a few years the band starting to compose their own songs.several of them are in bahasa melayu.wait for a long waited E.P by them. only two other members will arrive soon to completely the band line up.
